Veteran Business Development Professional Raj Prabhakar

Biography

With more than a decade experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, Raj Prabhakar is a senior executive with New Jersey-based Celsion Corporation, a biotechnology company focused on developing next-generation oncology treatments. While attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the 1990s, Raj Prabhakar double-majored in mechanical engineering and biology and served as President of the MIT Parliamentary Debate Team. He subsequently earned an MBA at the Harvard Business School, transitioning his career to the business world.

In his current position at Celsion, Mr. Prabhakar oversees strategic planning and business development for a biotechnology firm that is developing novel treatments for liver cancer patients. His oversight encompasses U.S. and Asian efforts to facilitate clinical trials and expedite worldwide pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. With responsibilities for all partnership and out-licensing agreements, Mr. Prabhakar completed a collaborative licensing deals for both the Japan and China territories. Prior to his time at Celsion, Mr. Prabhakar held leadership positions with the nanotechnology firm Protiveris, Inc., and the regenerative medicine company Osiris Therapeutics, Inc.
